White Paper and Poster Guidelines
Guidelines for White Papers
The deadline for submitting a White Paper is October 1, 2009
When preparing your organization’s White Paper, please keep in mind the following goals of the workshop:
- To identify current and future needs of stakeholders
- To seek out cross cutting challenges-- technical, cost, policy, etc--that, if solved, may have transformative impacts and represent opportunities for the future
- To provide guidance to bridge the gap between basic accelerator research and technology deployment
- To understand what areas of accelerator R&D hold the greatest promise
Using the goals above as guidance, white papers should address one of these five areas:
- Discovery Science
- Medicine and Biology
- Industrial Applications and Production
- Energy and Environment
- National Security
Remember to be brief and succinct. The paper should not exceed four pages. Your paper will be examined by the workshop co-chairs and panel leads and will be considered for inclusion as an appendix to the report. This appendix will be forwarded to working groups to be used as source material for the deliberative process involved in writing the workshop report
The White Paper must follow the specifications in the template linked below:
